Third Tuesday is one of the most well attended Meetups I know. I’ve gove to the meetups a couple of times and every time there are great speakers. Last Tuesday Stephen Jagger took the stage and talked about different tools small businesses can use to cut costs.
I’ve heard Stephen speak a couple of times and I like his style. He’s relaxed and presents information in a way that’s casual and easy to understand. His suggestions were, as expected, very useful. You can check out his two companies, Ubertor and Reachd, too learn more about what he does.
The event was held at Republic, on Graville. The place is nice, but we were not impressed with their service. The meetup was scheduled for 7:00pm. I arrived at 6:45 only to find about a dozen people waiting. They didn’t let us in until exactly 7:00pm… Give me a break, it’s a Meetup for crying out loud!
On top of that, coat check was $5 – no comments.
Thrid Tuesday Vancouver is one of the most welcoming meetups around. Just be prepared to talk about Twitter, WordPress, Google, etc. As always, it was a real pleasure to meet people I follow on Twitter…
