Today I attended Casecamp. It was an “unconference” – that is, a conference without a set agenda – on what I think was marketing and entrepreneurship. The were four presenters, listed bellow, which gave 15-minute, um, presentations.
The crowd seemed more than 50 people and mostly first timers – including me. Entrepreneurship was the common denominator among the people I met.
The venue was a pub/restaurant Downtown called The Lamplighter. I liked it, but don’t ask me to describe it.
Here’s the description of the presenters as posted on the Casecamp webiste:
David Walker, Partner at Saint Bernadine Mission Communications Inc.
In the overhyped and cliched world of beer advertising, David will reveal how their “refreshingly honest” campaign for Brewhouse beer led to sales growth over 1000 per cent the industry average.
Kris Krug, Raincity
Using Social Media to Gather Phones for Fearless City
Trevor Carr, President/CEO & Brock Ellis, Creative Director, Noise Digital
Trevor and Brock will tell the story of how a dating site for the undead (zombiesingles.com) was used to build interest in Nokia’s mobile gaming platform.
Rob Schlyecher Partner, Creative Director, Spring
Greeting card companies have Valentines Day, the guilt industry has Mother’s Day. Rob will admit to claiming the First Day of Spring as a day of celebration in honor of one ad agency’s blatant self-promotion and its related fund-raising efforts.

I am glad you had fun. I managed the one before this one as well as the one you attended. I thought it was a great turnout! Too bad we didn’t have a chance to meet 🙂

Indeed, it was a great crowd with people from very different backgrounds – refreshing. Congratulations on the success.
I’m sure we’ll meet soon enough in some other event – I’ll have my eyes open for you 🙂
