What an unexpected, humbling and motivating recognition!
Earlier this year, to my surprise, I was nominated for the Digital Analytics Association‘s (DAA) Awards for Excellence 2015, Practitioner of the Year. The DAA organizes these yearly awards to recognize people in various position in the industry. I’ve followed these awards for a number of years now never imagining I would enter.
To my even greater surprise, I’m now a finalist! It’s truly humbling to be chosen among all these great analytics professionals. It’s also very motivating. Big changes always come slow and are not pain-free. I’ve been lucky enough to work with teams that are receptive to progress and are willing to withstand growing pains as an organization – Sound Mind, Sound Body 🙂
I’m going to save my thank you’s to after April 1st, which is when the winer is revealed at the DAA Awards of Excellence Gala.
It’s in San Francisco so I’m making my best to attend, but from Tokyo, it’s not easy.
