I made the move and switched names. But little did I know that Twitter users are having problems switching account settings, usernames in particular.
Now I can only sign in with my email, but when I do the username reverts to the old one. If I click “home” to post an update it takes me to the new account with the old username.
This also means I can’t use Tweetdeck (desktop), or UberTwitter (mobile) – big problem. On top of that, when I sign in it reverts my changes (see bellow).
What to see what I’m talking about? Visit my new Twitter profile at http://www.twitter.com/joseuonline and you’ll see that, even though the web address is …/joseuonline my username is still @jose_u… weird. If you visit my old profile …/jose_u, you’ll see it’s new.
I’m not the only one with this problem. Here’s this problem’s thread on the Twitter Support page.
So there; I can only tweet from twitter.com and I’m not sure if people are seeing @joseuonline or @jose_u . But be aware, I’ll be commenting on blogs and lurking in the shadows until this problem is fixed.

[…] know how I’ve been complaining about the username problem that wouldn’t let me use third party applications? Well, it’s fixed! […]
